Is there something that makes it automatically update your subscription that I may have signed up for? They just charged my credit card for a year's subscription but I don't remember signing up for any automatic subscription. Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly you have to go to your windows live account and turn the auto renewal feature off as that is what it defaults to when you sign up..

You will probably have to call to turn off the auto renewal. I found it impossible to do it online. I would click the link and it would bring me to a page telling me I had to go back to the other page to turn it off. Round and round we go.
I could not do it from my console because I got the red ring of death(3rd time). F Microsoft, bought a cheap PS3 from a friend and never looked back.
