Grass lot next to the track and field

Is it still free to park and tailgate in the grass lot next to the track and field? I used to tailgate there for every game 3 years in a row, right next to the road under the trees. Haven't been in a couple years due to a new baby boy. Have they started charging to park there are is it still free?

Next to lot O, still free but they covered the ground under all the trees along Nicholson with mulch, can't get on it, just in the grass.Looks like lightening hit that big live oak in the south end of the grass area, it looks like it's dead/dying

Damn that sucks, that was a great place with the shade from the trees. Guess I'll just have to bring an extra tent.

Next year, that whole thing will be permit only. Sucks because we been there for years.
