When I graduated in '63, moved to Memphis and then to Gallatin, Tn.--at that time our only contact for LSU sports was WWL, LSU Sports Network and John Ferguson. In the fall it was a cold beer and John Ferguson on Saturday night. On Monday all you could see or hear was Tennessee unless LSU had beaten them on Saturday nite with John Ferguson.

thanks for the memories guys. I used to listen to the game with my dad every saturday night on the radio. I loved JF. Listening to the games back in the 60's and 70's was just as fun ( if not more so) than watching the games on TV. Not sure how that is, but IT IS.
Very few games on TV back then. I do remember playing Archie his senior year and beatin the tar out of em on national tv. I remember the first Notre Dame game at night and we roll'd em and it was fantastic.
I remember only am radio back in those days. Was FM just acid rock or something. I remember FM only having some type of Acid rock / alternative music . Who can clear this up for me? thanks
