I havent been down to Reggio in several years but we used to slay trout in the winter months. We used to launch at reggio marina, the owner since passed away if Im not mistaken.

Lake Reggio, Bayou Robbin, Lake Robbin, etc.. It was usually a no brainer, limit just about everytime using plastic cocahoes.

Any of you fish that area and if so, is the winter trout bite still what it used to be?

TIA..

yea it was sweet... I think the marina owner Im talking about was named Harold, and that dude with the straw cowboy hat used to help out (Snake or something like that...)

are you talking about that circular camp?

that's funny, you just made me remember that man with his straw hat.... man, its been at least 10 years since i've been down there but i'm thinking we stayed in one of the older places behind/next to the big circular camp. that was the one with the nice dock and fish cleaning area? (think those three or so camps there were all buddies, we used to clean our fish at that place)

I love to hear a current winter report from that area... some of the best trips of my life there. Oyster shells everywhere in that area
