This is an email that I received:
As you are all aware the moratorium that has been placed on deepwater drilling is having and will continue to have chilling affects on the economy of Lafayette, Louisiana and eventually the country. A small group of associations and companies came together and have decided to initiate a large scale at the Cajundome. We are hoping that the event will attract 15,000 plus. This has the potential to be a huge victory for us as we try to get the moratorium lifted. It also has the potential to be harmful to our cause if enough people do not show.
I am writing to all of you to ask for help, but im not even really sure what the help is. I have been placed in the "Chairmans" role for the rally. In order to pull this off I am going to need a lot of help. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ANYONE CAN DO IS TO SHOW UP AND BRING A FRIEND. But beyond that, I am sure there is much more that can be done.
So.. put your thinking caps on, and if you have any ideas that might help make this successful please let me know. Or if you can help in anyway let me know. Lafayette is going to have to come together in a MAJOR way to accomplish what we need to at this event.
