I beg to differ with you Stutgart. I've been in Destin for 2 days. There were quite alot of tar "chips" in the water this afternoon, along with the 7 ft. waves. Saw 3 BP workers in front of Sandestin picking up tar and bagging it. The crap is not a total beach killer, but its nasty when it gets on you. The surf is ferocious now and for the rest of the week bringing in oil on a sporadic basis. Its no worse than Holly Beach, but damn, this is supposed to be the "emerald coast"

I'll have to look harder today. We didn't see any clean up crews on our beach. The surf was big. I didn't notice the problems you mentioned Pineville.
