Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I LOVE a good gorefest. Have you ever seen movies by Herschell Gordon Lewis? Fantastic stuff.

Also LvT is one of those directors that I can say I have not disliked any of his films (along with T. Malick, PTA, T. Solondz). One that came close though was Manderlay, only because he's German and it felt like he was preaching to us Americans...but I liked the story.

Not to be a smartass but but he's Danish and I haven't seen Manderlay but it seems weird for a Danish director to do a movie about the South with slaves and such. I'll hold my judgement.
