It's much more likely that Miles tried to drill some sense into the kid, but it never took. I mean Jesus, Perrilloux was the franchise, the SECCG MVP, with a straight shot to a huge NFL pay day—you really think Miles never once tried to put these things in perspective for the kid?
Anyway I hope he has a great career in the NFL. If he's gotten himself together and he busts his arse to harness his talent, maybe he'll make it after all.

I remember reading somewhere shortly after RP was let go that Miles said something to the effect that he couldn't recall more than two staff meetings where RP WAS NOT the focus of the meeting because of his ongoing issues.
