superior d-lineman are why Ohio State and USC dominate their respective conferences every year also (except last year for USC)

LSU has had a great string of d-line players, but the d-line coaching at LSU the last two years has been unremarkable. Maybe this year the coaches will find some of that ole LSU fire in the trenches.
LSU hasn't had good 0-line coaching since DiNardo. There, I said it. I know all you Saban tools will bitch, but look at the stats. Anyway, what I would like to see is a new era of o-line play, but no reason to believe it is coming.
