Bryant Jackson - S (Texas)
6'3, 175
4.48 40yd

He has the size to be another in the line of incredible safeties at Texas when he puts on some pounds. He's a guy who could play WR but with UT's haul of playmakers, I think it's safe to say he stays on defense. His flexible hips and athleticism will allow him to play CB as well.
His versatility position-wise, as well as his size, makes him a great candidate for early playing time.
I like the way my defense is starting to shape up, especially Milliner and Jackson in the secondary.

Just for fun...

Best picks by round:

1) Ronald Powell, BayouCatFan - I think he's the No. 1 Overall by a mile and the clear cut no. 1. Too bad Bayou's team sucks

2) Markeith Ambles, OBUDan - Gotta give myself props. Not sure how a guy this talented slipped so far, but I'll take him.

3) Cecil Whiteside, TIGER PHANATICK - For my money, he's the 2nd best LB in this year's class. Huge steal in Rd. 3.

4) Jawuan James, SunTiger - Incredible he made it to Round 4. He's got prototype written all over him. Steal.

5) Corey Miller, Lynxcat - Helluva pickup in round 5. Should be an instant impact player, great pass rusher with good size. Very nice pick.

6) Arie Kouandjio, Hand - Massive OT going to a place with a great OL coach. I think we'll all know who he is in a year or two.

7) Evan Washington, OIT - How did he fall this far amongst majority LSU fans? He's got the genes, the size... he will be a beast. He's already no. 2 on the LSU depth chart at LT.

8) Lynden Trail, 102362 - I was looking at Trail as early as Round 3. He's about as bulky as an Ethiopian Distance Runner, but damn his athleticism is off the charts. Gonna be a very dynamic pass rusher once he adds the bulk.

9) Andrew Donnal, Flask - I like this guy a lot and he slipped through the cracks. Going to a school with a good history of developing OL too.

10) Justin Parker, Jembeurt - Holy Moley, what a good pick so late. This guy is a great inside linebacker and has the size to play early and often.

A.J. Cann
6'3, 260
5.1 40yd

From Scout:
Quickness is Cann's forte with excellent hand placement coming off the ball as a tackle and drives very well with good power from his hips and understands how to keep himself from overextending - very well coached at the high school level. Traps and pulls as well as anyone between his quick feet and awareness. Size will move him inside in college and he needs to add weight before seeing the football field.

I spent far too much time deliberating on this pick, but I have finally come to a decision.

With the 278th pick in the Tiger Droppings Recruiting Board Mock Draft, OBUDan selects:

Evan Hailes, DT

This one big, fat, nasty dude. I'm running a 3-4, so the big, space eating DT is essential and Hailes fits that bill perfectly. His main issues are effort and maintaining a healthy weight (typical for a NT). But when he turns it on, he can be downright unblockable. Hailes perfectly fits what I want to do up front. Would you want to try and block that guy? And he's surprisingly athletic for his size... he can be disruptive when he puts forth the effort.

Luke Muncie - LB (LSU)
6'3, 215
4.49 40yd

(Future teammates on Team TSB4L)

One of the guys we got in this class that I'm really excited about. He seems to be in the mold that Chavis likes: speedy and capable in coverage. He brings in size and already having converted from safety. He will have some competition to make the field, but I think he is certainly talented enough to do so. Plus, I wanted at least one Tiger on my team.

With mt 15th round pick, I select, Cam Feldt, OG out of Arkansas.

Feldt is an exceptional run blocking offensive tackle that could also be a guard at the next level. He is a stout and thick offensive lineman with good height. Comes off the ball with authority. Strikes a real blow into the defensive lineman and usually dominates the opponent.

He will make a road grading RG for Mike Dyer to run behind.

Ranked by ESPN as the #8 OT in the 2010 class, this guy has some serious potential.

Kalon Davis - OG (Clemson)
6'5, 345
5.1 40yd

From Scout:
Davis plays offensive tackle for Chester but will move inside in college. He is a big body that will have to control his weight, but for a guy his size, he moves quite well. He can get to the second level of defense, he can get down field on a screen pass, and he does not move like someone close to 350 pounds. He needs to work on getting out of his stance, firing off the ball low, and playing with more initial punch.

I had planned on taking Divetto, so this is purely a panic pick.

Suntiger selects Eric Bennett CB out if ArKansas.

May be a tad slow, but looks to have good quickness. May eventually be a saftey, but one of my safetys may become a corner.

As for the leftover picks, I could get behind the idea of one round and everyone gets a supplemental pick. One pick only per team. I'd rather not have the supp pics at all, but increasing the roster by one player isn't so bad and we would all get a quality player.
