Yeah, the defender (don't remember who) just simply slipped and A&M reciever took like 70 yard easy waltz into paydirt! Should have never happened!

It was Paul Lyons who later qb'd the Tigers. He went for the int. and missed the ball over his head and the A&M receiver scored. It was with just a few seconds left in the game. All he had to do was make the tackle and the game would have been over. I was there.

This was after one of the potentially best qb's to ever play for LSU, Butch Duhe, died from a brain hemmorage shortly before the season opener. That is one of the greatest "what might have been" stories ever.
