Chicken,

I am having a charity fishing tournament on April 17 2010. All proceeds are being donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of SWLA. The tournament is being held on Calcasieu Lake (Big Lake). My website is hosting the tournament.

I recently had some fliers made for the tournament & I was wondering if it would be ok for me to post the digital copies on the OT. My website is on the fliers & that is why I am asking for permission to post them. I emailed copies of them to tigerdroppings@gmail.com yesterday but I didn't get a response back.

If I'm not allowed to post the attached fliers, could you please tell me what would be ok to post? I just want to get the word out about the tournament & raise as much money as possible for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Their funding from the United Way got cut by almost 50% this year!

I don't want the thread to get deleted or get myself banned for posting something I'm not supposed to. That is why I am asking for permission & exactly what is ok to post or link to for this charity event. I have already spent over $1,000 of my own personal money putting this tournament together all by myself. TD.com has a ton of users from the Lake Charles area & I really need to help promoting this thing.

Please, if there is anyway that I can post this on the board in some way, shape or form, it would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly post TD.com ads, banners & links all over my site if you'd like me to do so.

Thanks in advance. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Youth Division (age 17 & under) - $30 entry fee per angler
Ladies Only Division - $40 entry fee per angler
The Good Ole’ Boys Division - $40 entry fee per angler

BRACKETS: Each division has 2 separate brackets. They are as follows:

Speckled Trout (Spotted Seatrout) Stringer (max 3 fish limit)
Redfish (Red Drum) Stringer (max 3 fish limit)

1st - 5th place in each division/bracket

There is also a “Big Speck” winner take all jackpot for the heaviest speckled trout (Spotted Seatrout) of the day over all. For every entry fee collected, $5 will go towards this jackpot.

PRIZES: Anglers must be present to win cash prizes, no exceptions. If a winning angler is not present @ the awards ceremony, the cash prize will be awarded to the next angler on the leader board. There will also be a drawing for several door prizes donated by tournament sponsors. Anglers must turn in their weigh-in ticket stubs to be entered into the drawing for door prizes. Anglers must be present @ the drawing to win door prizes as well.

Each bracket will have a cash payout for 1st & 2nd place regardless of the number of entries. The cash payout for 1st & 2nd place in each division will be determined by the number of anglers entered into the tournament. Additional payouts for 3rd, 4th & 5th place will be added after the max payout for 1st & 2nd place is met. All entry fees collected after the max payout through 5th place has been met will be donated to charity. The max payout for each division & breakdown of the entry fees are as follows:

In addition to the cash, 1st place trout stringer for ladies, guys & overall biggest trout will also win a custom built 7' rod donated by one of our sponsors.

Lots of door prizes. shirts, hats, beer koozies, a pair of Costa Del Mar Fathoms, paint ball masks, fishing lures, spools of line, ect.

I'll post all this info on the OT as soon as I can get it approved.

For now, just email me & I'll send you a flier with all the details.

I posted a very watered down version of the flier on the OT. I'm just gonna wait for permission to post the real one with all the details. I don't want it to get taken down. It's a charity event & we need all the exposure we can get.
