Looks like we are stuck with that pecker head Crowton again!

I think the word is out on Crowton being an offensive genius

I think Gonzo will bridge th3e gap between Crowton's brain, and JJ's execution. If he does,
LSU will be as explosive as they were in 2007.

It is possible. None of the pessimists around here have any idea what will happen.
I had a hell of a good time watching LSU's Offense in 2007.

The ONE single key to an explosive offense is the QB's play. He has to be decisive and have a quick read on the defense for a quick release to the open man. Then the running game has got to open up whether it is running the ball first then passing or passing and then running. You have to have a great tightend and FB to run the ball in the SEC. Also you can not give the defense and idea of what you are going to do on majority of your plays. Now how much of these factors do we have in place? and name them.

Games are won/loss with the big uglies. Why do you think Saban is so success. He dominates on both sides of the ball.

You have to take in the fact of the whole of what I said. The QB has to be able to read the defense quickly and react to what he sees. Also he has to hope that the recievers are seeing the same thing he is. If you have a QB that can make reads the way that the two QB's we had during the NC years knew how to make quick reads and that made up for the lack of line play as the year goes along and the injuries start to take effect. There is going to be times during the course of a year that any given team has to deal with injuries like we did in '03 and in'07 and with a QB with the smarts that they both had made up the difference. Yes big uglies are a big reason but not the single one reason. A smart QB with a quick read and quick release makes just as much of a difference if not more than just the OL. Not only in the passing game but the running game also as for as quick reads goes and that is why I said quick reads first. If you ask any NFL scout what they look for first in scouting a QB is how they make reads and then how quickly they can get the ball out of their hands and also see where the defense is most volunarable before the ball is even snapped rather a pass is called or a run is called. This will take pressure off the big ugglies and it will allow them to be able to make their blocks more easily.
