No it wasn't the lack of perfect clock management. It was the way Miles allowed Crowton to call plays for an inexperienced and not ready for SEC-Time Jarrett Lee.

Crowton should have limited the type of routes to the ones Lee was comfortable with and relied more heavily on our running game.

Hindsight is 20/20 and even an amature like me can see their mistake now. That mistake not only ruined Lee's QB pyhici, but it also damaged Jefferson's too.

I think Miles and Crowton have learned an important lesson and have limited our passing gameplan this season. Not wanting to make the same mistake with Shepard, he was not asked to throw the ball this year.

Hopefully Jefferson and Lee can fully recover next season, and Shepard is given a gameplan suited for his experience level at QB next year.

Wondering what kind of routes you thought Lee was comfortable with. He wasn't good at short out routes, over the middle routes or down the field routes. We couldn;t limit the passing game because teams were stacking the line begging us to throw. Also we were always trying to get out of a hole.

JJ was scared to death of resembling JL.
I think the coaches were as well.
It showed in playcalling and effort/play.
protect the ball was the theme in 2009.

Without knowing what his favorite throws in H.S. were. try these:

#1 Throw to all WRs with single coverage.

#2 throwing the ball away in all other situations.

#3 Throw deep against single coverage on 3rd and two or less.

#4 Look one way and throw the other way, even if you have to throw the ball away.

#5 Never throw to your original WR if you have looked at him for more than two seconds; throw it to someone else or throw it away.
