I think it has been substantiated that Porter had final say on personnel decision at RB and that Crowton could not overrule him.

That is a curious set up where the RB coach can overrule the OC IMHO and that's the head man's decision.

And Porter's RB rotation was often head-scratching, the decision not to play Scott in the second half at Kentucky in 2007 of course being the most glaring example.

If Miles ditches that unusual philosiphy that would be a step in the right direction.

I agree the higher ranking person should have the final say.

Reminds of a funny story. In 8th grade, the school's "AD" was also assistant football coach. The HC gave him some paperwork to take care of as the assistant coach, at which point the assistant coach turned around and gave it back to him as AD.
