I'm really ashamed that most of you fans have given up the west to bama for the near future. I guess it doesn't matter that the two most recent losses could have easily been wins. Most of you are acting like bama just destroyed us the last two years. Bama is losing 8 starters on defense and finally has a schedule that isn't favorable for them. Damn i thought i'd never see the day LSU FANS CONCEDED LOSSES BEFORE THEY HAPPENED.

I agree completely....

trouble is, at least the indications are that bama is on the rise and we are on the fall....gotta change that image...

Well, who do you think would win the best out of four or five games coached between these two? If you think Miles wins 4 out of 5, you may need to rethink that logic.

Speaking of "conceding losses before they happen", this brief thread recalls for me the simple-minded (but typical) statement of Chollie Mac one Alabama week before the sent his team out for its annual arse-kicking by The Bear: "I just hope we make them win it, and not us give it to 'em". And sure enough - "they" did "win it". One more time.

We've hit a two-year slump, which not coincidentally has coincided with inexperience at the QB position and the transition in the defensive coaching staff. This kind of stuff happens....in ANY program. I look for us to be in the thick of the SEC and BCS races over the next couple of years as the QB situation stabilizes and the D gets more familiar with Chavis' scheme. But the SEC West is becoming the most competitive division in college football. There will no longer be any "gimme" games in the division, and a lot of anyone's success in any given year will depend on which East teams they play.

Do you actually think LSU will compete with Bama the next two year? The best LSU has done in the past 5 years is two losses in the SEC.
