LSU wasn't exactly lacking in talent when Saban got here either. Sure it wasn't the cornucopia that it was in 2005, but there was plenty of NFL talent here in 2000.
And FWIW, the winning percentages are better in '09 then they were in '08, which is all you could really ask for this year.

The team/program/facilites Miles inherited is not even comparable to what saban inherited.
