I'm not sure what all of the backlash against X is about, but I think that is one of the two best games in the series. If the hatred hinges on Tidus being a whiney bitch, a quick look through that series will make it apparent that you could do a lot worse.

I never played X. But I know they did a X-2 and I tried playing it at my cousins house once and was like "there is an abnormal amount of vag in my party"
