I wonder if this is actually true. Saban averaged 3 losses a year, and that was with Shula and Zook on the schedule. More importantly, I haven't seen anything that indicates that the most talented players aren't playing; I'd like to see more of Shepard, but really I have no idea what he does in practice, combined with the fact that he's got competition from other highly touted recruits. Reuben Randle seems to be the #3 receiver, which I have no problem with because Tolliver was also the #1 receiver in the country his year, and Lafell would have gone in the first 3 rounds last year despite his hands.
