Hi, folks, I am new to this forum and looking forward to having some good football discussion with you all.
I got a question for LSU fans: does anyone remember a LSU football player back in 60s, his name is Charles Moore? I believe he played defensive back, and was an all-SEC if not all-American caliber player. I know Charlie personally, and just want to verify his little "story" with LSU fans. Thanks!

Yes, Charlie went gay on us in '75. It's true.

Name didn't ring a bell so I looked it up for you: TWO Charles Moores played simultaneously at LSU in '64-'65, Charles Moore from Chattanooga played end, and Charles F. Moore from Plaquemine played slot. No mention of any all-conference honors for either.

Also would like to add for clarification no mention of "gay" either.

Charlie was a little light in the loafers but one hell of a ballplayer and model American.

Charlie may be pulling your lariat.

He should be Charles F. Moore from Plaquemine. The middle initial is right, and he has pretty strong accent. He was my professor at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a very accomplished chemical engineering professor in process control and obtained all of his degrees at LSU. Bottom line, he is just a great great man.
Does anyone, other than genuineLSUtiger, recall what type of play he was? Thank you all for your help.
