This is just not true. On true play action plays, LSU's passing game has been pretty good this year. The problem is that LSU only does it about once or twice a game, and even after a successful long play, never go to it again. Instead, the Tigers prefer to pass out of bullshite formations like the "pistol."

it seems like JJ drops back so far after the play fake that LSU's tackles think they are blocking the DE's behind JJ but in fact the are leading them straight to him and since he never steps up in the pocket it results in a sack. i'm no expert, just a casual observation

Pistol is a very good formation.
