Saban had this luxury his first couple of years, but bad mouthing your talent eventually dies out. Which makes you really respect what Miles has done without this huge recruiting advantage. LSU has basically been regarded as a talented and deep team the last couple of years. Bama will eventually be put back to their rightful place in the middle of the pack, and Tenn will remain there. LSU's dominant recruiting and in-state talent will keep them at the top.

what are you talking about? btw, you contradicted yourself. miles has done what he has without a big recruiting advantage and then you tal;k about lsu's dominant recruiting in the same paragraph. what disadvantage has miles had and why would you think alabama would fall to the middle of the pack? pretty terrible post iyam

I think by "disadvantage" he means Miles cant promise early playing time like a rebuilding TN program can at this time. But still not the greatest argument in the world if thats what he means.

dominance and the SEC shouldn't be said in the same sentence. UF, is about as good as it gets right now and last yr. they lost to Ole Miss and the year before they lost 4 games, including laying a big egg against a solid, not great, Michigan team. LSU is 2-2 against UF in last 4 yrs. Bama is back (to being competitive, not dominate like they think) and UT will return.

Yes...if you can promise a number of freshmen playing time, then your program is not currently where it needs to be. If a guy turns down LSU because he can't get that guarantee, then screw 'em. That is probably not a guy you want anyway.
