The Final Season

Caught this last night. True story about a '91 high school baseball team in Iowa. It was a good story and the performances were pretty good, but there was some bad dialogue and it looked like a Lifetime movie. It looked pretty low budget. I was very surprised that it had such a decent cast.
Sean Astin
Rachael Leigh Cook
Powers Boothe
Larry Miller
Tom Arnold
And a few other people you'd recognize. (Including the drug dealer from Hawaii in John From Cincinnati)
Btw, Mackenzie Astin had literally 2 15 second scenes with 2 lines total. I couldn't tell if he was just doing his brother a solid and making a cameo, or if Sean did him a solid and this is the only work he can get. Either way it made me remember(fondly
) that movie he was in with Carmen Electra. Can't remember the name, but it was narrated by David Hyde Pierce and was pretty funny imho. Terrible, but funny.

Awesome. Tell him I said congratulations.

By the way, we just dipped into that box you sent and got out some more sippy cups and the bottle bag/cooler thingy. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I can't tell you how much I(and we) appreciated that.

I bought this a few years ago and it had a documentary on the team which was awesome. Thank goodness, made the purchase bearable.
