Just because there are 55% of people out there that like that overly thick, overly sweet(high fructose corn syrup sweet), kraft type BBQ sauce doesn't make all BBQ sauces the same.
Any of those regional sauces that don't have high fructose corn syrup as a main ingredient are good with me. If I had to pick one sauce, I would go with Cattleman's Gold. (It's a yellow Carolina sauce.)

I have been tinkering with the Alcide Thibodaux's brand you can get at Southside Produce. That is an interesting product.
Usually I'll switch between Jack Millers, Sweet Baby Rays, or a combo of the two. usually, i'll whip up a marinade or brine and cater a sauce to those spices.
