More likely scenario:
Mikie gets on base with go-ahead run in 11th and says "Got anything to say now?" to the smart-arse 1st baseman.
Response: Nothing
Mikie: "Well, I do. I wear a size 10 ring!"

More believable to stop after the "Got anything to say now?" part in that case.
