I tend to agree with Raparooot. To use the word hero is a bit out of line. Why does the word have to be mutually exclusive to those things in which you deem them to be seving America? Using the word "hero" in a context of baseball is just as accurate as using it in a context that you find arbitrarily accurate.

It's a word. It's meaning can and does extend outside of service to the country. Sorry but this thread and oversensitivity is ridiculous.
