How many national championships has LSU really won? I know 1958, 2003, and 2007 are given, but I thought they also won in 1908. Does anyone else know?

LSU officially claims only 3 football NC's: 1958, 2003, 2007.
They have also been awarded NC's by various selectors in: 1908, 1935, 1936, and 1962, but the school does not claim them.

Well, I heard that in 1908, we were undefeated and awarded a title by the National Championship foundation, yet the school wont recognize the claim, I never knew why.

We don't claim those BS championships in the early 1900s. (we aren't like bama)
