I am thinking about adding the multi regional sports package to my dish and was wondering if I would get to see the red sox on nesn since I am in lousiana or would it be blacked out?

You can watch them unless they are playing a team in your "region", which in some places is probably the Astros and/or Rangers, then if it's on you will get them on whatever regional carries them

i cancelled my sports package because something like 90% of every professional sporting event was blacked out regardless of the teams invlolved.

True. They want you to get that NBA League Pass or MLB ticket or whatever it's called. The only MLB games I can get in this area on Fox Sports with those packages are the Royals and Cardinals. I can also get the Blues Hockey games. I can't get any NBA games, not even OKC even though they are only 3hrs from me while STL is 4hrs from me but I guess it also goes by what state you live in.

Just go to directv.com and they have a spot where you type in your zip code and they tell what is available on what channel. You will get like 2 MLB games out of 15 on the regional sports channels. The rest will be blacked out and only available with the MLB package.
