in fairness Cecil had a few 100 yard+ games with the fish before getting busted.

false.

collins never had a 100 yard game in the pros, and had a terrible yards per carry average in his 8 game career....3.2 yards per carry. Faulk on the other hand has averaged over 4 yards for over a decade. Collins also only got a terrible 5 yards per catch compared to 8 for Faulk.

Collins is THE most overrated athlete in LSU history.
Maybe you're right, but his coach, Jimmy Johnson, who has been around football for a while, said, "He was the best running back I've ever seen." That's an extremely strong endorsement by a source who knows more about the subject than you or me.

If Kevin Faulk would have only played 4 games of D-1 college ball, do you think a NFL team would have used a draft pick on him?

NO, there would have been no mention of him.
But Collins was special. Even with all of his problems the Dolphins still took him.

That being said Kevin Faulk is a great football player, and one of the best ever at LSU. But that has nothing to do with this topic.
