brah, we consently lead the nation in baseball attendance at both, the lsu and the zephyr games. we can't even sell out a fricking playoff game in basketball.

Dumb. No way La could support the vacuum of MLB. Too many games, overpriced, and utterly unfeasible.

-What are the Zephyrs attendance numbers again? /thread

and you think that basketball is not?

whenever they have to put yellow shirts on the empty chairs just to make it look full, it is a problem. especially in a playoff game.

good question. i would love for them to play around central la. but i guess that would be impossible. i always thought that, we in the south, were bigger baseball fans than north la. but, i was wrong. we're about even right now.

Hornets has sold out the majority of their home games this season. What you are suggesting makes no damn sense at all

maybe. but, if you put it in n.o. you would probably get a lot of mississippi fans. their "closest" team is atlanta.

I wish there was a closer MLB team than Houston. I would love it if N.O. got a baseball team. Will never happen though.

Louisiana cannot support a MLB baseball team. First of all, a new stadium would cost $300 million minimum. Second of all, there are 81 home games a year. There is no way that the area could generate enough fan support to make it work. LSU does lead the nation in baseball attendance. That's about 7 or 8,000 people a game. An average MLB stadium seats about 5 times that.

Louisiana is a college baseball state, not sure how people would react to an mlb team, but i would like it. Not at the expense of the hornets though

The hornets actually sold out a good amount of games this year. But when you put a shitty product on the floor even if it is the playoffs, you're not going to fill up the arena. Don't act like we can't sell out in the playoffs, cause just last year that bitch was packed. The thing is nobody felt like watching the hornets get their asses kicked.
