it's not always what kids you get or don't get. it's what you do with the ones you do get. sometimes you can get more out of the 2-3 stars then the 4-5 stars, and we've seen evidence of this. so with a well needed defensive coaching staff change, & a proven offensive staff, let's wait & see how it all plays out. we don't know what kind of shite they are pulling at Tn. to get these kids, but we can smell all they way down here, and hopefully the NCAA will get a whif of it, and if not we'll just have to KICK THEIR arse!!!

I agree with this totally!

LINK!

I don't have a link.

I'm not saying there's info. out there that's gonna bring him down.

I'm just saying that this shite won't keep up.

Yeah, LK and co. pulled in some nice players. But their gonna be dogshit awful again next year. And he's not exactly a world beater coach like Saban that can just turn the sitch around.

Recruits go where success goes... it's about as simple as that.

So I think the inevitable conclusion is either Tennessee sucking for the next couple of years or LK and co. getting busted down on for their incredulous recruiting violations. I'm sorry, but there is no legitimate way to explain stealing recruit who have been committed to 4 different schools for an entire year... after you've been on the job for 2 months. I don't care what kind of recruiters you hire.

Yes sir. You are correct, leave it up to the rant to bring you down to your senses. I am guilty of a first response post. Looking at our whole class makes tenn class look like little league. Pound for pound our class is the best in the country. It's just been a while since Tenn beat us out on any football recruits. Thank you.

lynxcat it is obvious that you and many other posters are misreading my post...

I should have been more clear with the illustration.

quote:

J. Jackson Tenn > LSU 5***** recruit S
I was posting what the recruits rating was and that they chose Tenn over LSU not that he was better than any of LSU recruits or comparing them to any of LSU's recruits. The same goes for Myles.

Now I do differ with you in that I think we could have used JJ at corner for next year. He is that good. Hawkins will be gone and Jai is better suited on the right side. But that is JJ's lost.

On B. Brown I know we got in late but so did Tenn that was my only point. And I know that Ford is great but he and B. Brown are totally different style of runners.

Again I agree that Tenn class could not light a candle to LSU'S but please excuse me for asking about specefic recruits I thought we should have gotten. But appreciate the reply it was insightful.

I was hoping there could be a discussion on what we should improve on in recruting so this will not keep happening.

I think most LSU fans think when you have the top class there isn't much room for improvement. I for one hope this doesn't stop happening. Since you started the topic, what do you think "we should improve on"?

Tennessee have been kicking our butt this year and I hate it!

Tenn. hasn't been kicking shite. They still have to produce on the field, and their head coach has done nothing to show that he is capable of putting a winning product on the field. Remember, those hillbillies have the dumbest coach in the SEC. Dude is a straight up douchebag, and he will continue to prove it.

I HAD TO PUT THIS IN CAPITAL LETTERS. THE REASON TN IS GETTING THESE PLAYERS IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO COMPETE WITH ON THAT TEAM. THEY ARE PISS POOR AND IF I WERE A FRESHMEN I WOULD WANT TO START AND THEY CAN GET THIS OPPORTUNITY AT TN NOT LSU.....

I think we can start with doing a better job of getting on national recruits earlier than it seems we do. Especially recruits that are not exactly in our region. ie Pryor,Brown, Knowshown, or the safety florida got last year. Many of these players watch LSU games from afar we just have to get on them earlier. The I-10 corridor have been our staple so we have not been so eager to go up north as we should.

I do have some more suggestions but I would also like to hear what other fans think as well. Just mo

Cornholio you are right!

I was off base with that comment...I just hate to lose any recruit to them.

How about we just keep it the same and let Les keep reeling in top 5 classes?

I hear ya. And I hate to lose anyone to them also. But I really don't think we have that much to worry about. Its not like Kiffin will build a dynasty there or anything like that.
