It sounds as if your child may have instituted the physical end of this altercation, and that isn't appropriate for anyone; wheelchair or not.
Sounds like the bully pushed him back into his chair first...then he defended himself.
Sad situation, and it says more about this generation than it does football fans. As many others have stated, when I went to school the people that picked on the handicapped kids were taken care of...it all starts in the home.

He just came home from school with a long sad face. He thought he was going to be punished this weekend for running over the kid's foot. He told me the story again and it is the same one I got from the administrator. He's not physically injured in any way. The punch must have been minimal. Only, the kid apparently said some really mean things that weren't repeated to me on the phone. Of course it's all hearsay. According to my son, that kid told my son that at least he wasn't in a wheelchair and kids with muscular dystophy all die before they are 21.(This according to my son was relayed to the kids parents by administration) First of all I told my son that is absolutely not one bit true, which he knows and then I asked my son what was this kid's problem with him and he replied he doesn't know. I also asked him what the other kids were doing during this, he said just watching.
I told him that of course he's not punished, but I scolded him for using his chair and explained that he could really injure someone with that chair and to avoid that kid at all cost, because it seems like he has it in for my boy. I told him he should feel sorry for that kid because it's obvious that although he is not physically handicapped like you, there is something unseen that is really broken inside that kid.
Again, I know it is not because my son is an LSU fan, and he is a Bama fan, but something else is definitely wrong with that boy.
I was as shocked as most who replied about a kid striking another kid in a wheelchair. Never in a million years would I think that would happen.
