I've had their Western Space Grunge and self-titled on repeat these days. I can't help but imagine that if they had been releasing songs in the early to mid 90s they would be household names.

They put on a real fun live show. Saw them in Texas where they are from and the crowd energy was great. Also saw them open for red clay strays and the crowd was not matching that energy
They had a band before this iteration that was a flat out country, and you can really hear those country roots sticking out in some songs like Way I Steer
Space invader might be my favorite of theirs

I’ve always liked everything I’ve heard from them (which isn’t a lot, not yet anyway)

They are in a pretty funny spat with Cheez-its right now
Up until last year, at their concerts they would hand out a box of cheezits to the crowd to take and pass around. Sounds silly but they are very interactive with their crowds and it was pretty fun to see
For some reason this eventually got to the marketing people at Cheezits and they sent them a cease and desist to stop doing that
Now they are basically like frick cheezits at all their shows
they were in Tampa for the Cheez-it bowl and planned to do an unsponsored show where they shat all over them, but ended up not doing it.

They’re awesome and a lot of fun to see live. We’ve went to see them the last two years at Chelsea’s in BR and hung out with James after the show last year.
They just announced a 4/25 show at Chelsea’s just a little bit ago
