Dishwasher issues

New problem, 20+ year old dishwasher not getting any water in it. If I pour water into it, it pumps and washes dishes.
Float switch is not stuck, no blockage in the water line.
Replace or repair?

Sounds simple. Line, board, or valve. If diy check eBay for the board price. Maybe it’s $10 or maybe your machine is totaled if that is what’s wrong.
They’re easy to work on. I somehow got a piece of glass in my pump this year and it took less than an hour to have working again.
New dishwashers aren’t all that great and take forever but they are super quiet.

discovered the fill valve was beyond corroded. 30 dollar part, bought a braided water line to replace the copper line that I cold not get the fittings to stop leaking. Back in business, 50 dollars, it cleans better than it has for the last 5 years.
