Does anyone know how we compare to them speed wise? Is there any way to stop them?

I think they have a slight edge on us there and still will next year. But not too many if any other teams will IMHO.

Bama did it, and so did Oklahoma. Sure, they didn't win but they did make them look human.

With Harvin gone, the difference is much less.

i agree with you, with Harvin gone, makes them a little less explosive. dont get me wrong they will still be great, but look at NC game, if harvin doesnt play they dont win that game. with the game at tiger stadium next year, i like your chances

LSU has plenty of Speed, Florida utilizes it better.

UF and LSU speed is comparable. The differences last season were experience and QB.

They didn't stop them, they slowed them down.

My complete quote. If our defense can do as much as those two examples, Florida becomes beatable again.

But, can their defense stop/slow us? I think their defense is more likely to shut us down than our defense shutting them down.

Home field advantage for us though with a new, improved and mobile QB. It will be an interesting matchup and much closer than what people think even with Tebow.

I hope so.

But, they return many members of a defense that allowed just 12 points/game in '08.

You must have missed our game against UF... even with a shitty QB play, we hung the most points on them in the swamp... look out for JJ next season.. I like our chances in TS

They are the team to beat. LSU will need to play lights out, no doubt.

Their defense is what is scary next season. It will be LSU's D in 2010. Offense, not so much. i think that DCs are catching on to their playbook. Tebow should have gone out IMO.

Tebow needs to demonstrate success in a pro style offense which is what Meyer promised him this year to boost his NFL stock.

If this is true, then Tebow may well have to adapt (on some plays) to a new offense predicated more on power than on speed.

It will be interesting to watch. I personally believe Tebow coming back is a mistake for all parties involved but I guess time will tell.

Maybe so but with UF averaging 43 points/game last year, it's hard to tell.

They've increased their points/game average every year since Meyer has been at UF.

From 28 points/game in 2005, to 29 points/game in 2006, to 42 points/game in 2007, to 43 points/game in 2008.
