What’s the best strategy for tickets this weekend?

Following (In the same boat)
I have never been but everyone I know who has…. Says “do not buy now and wait it out until game day”. That’s my plan.
Driving from Houston with my buddy (Coastal Alum) and we have 10 year old boys.
Looking at around $1000 for 4 tickets for Saturday if I buy now and that is not great seats.
Would like to hear what others have to say.
ETA that we will attend all games.

I’d wait until game day to buy tickets since the prices will probably be lower—just keep in mind the chances of getting a good seat will be pretty slim.
