The decision to bury this thread was very hard line considering no mention of "Christian" or "Christianity" was asserted, nor was any specific "religion".

A few more notes, observations and context.

1) I have lurked at TD for several years and seen many "religious" threads and debates. I have also seen complaints here and there. That makes this decision seems a bit arbitrary and perhaps based on complaints that were heeded in this specific case.

2) Jesus is also considered by many a Historical figure and philosophizer; the Bible a "Historical" account. This cannot be denied.

3) The story of 'The Rich Man and Lazarus' can be considered a philosophical anecdote from a "Historical" figure

4) The destination of the "Afterlife" is NOT necessarily a "religious" matter, but a philosophical and existential matter.
