Bright spot: Bullpen

On the bright side, Boy did Shores and Mayers look lights out. Technically, we can throw in Noot too because he was fantastic today outside of 2 pitches.

Shores and Mayers both sat 99-102 for multiple innings. Mayers really spun it well and showed command for one the first times all year. He looked like a big league closer today. Really impressive stuff and if the offense can get back on track with the way these arms are stepping up.. look out!

Mayers has all the makings of a shut down bullpen guy. Just has to hit spots.

Add in Evans, Rizy, Cowan, and Ware...and we have more than enough arms to win 5 games at The Box in the next few weeks.
