Why no offer for Terrance Broadway yet?

It seems risky to offer Nick Montana without extending one to Broadway if we have sincere interest in the in-state kid. Can't help but notice that Bama has already offered TB. What gives?

heres a shot in the dark...saban is trying to establish a pipeline in LA. LSU is always a little behind on extending offers from what i have seen. we have yet to offer reed either so its no big deal. neither will commit anywhere anytime soon so there is no rush.

Calm down guys. Let's get through this signing day before we start worrying about 2010.

I hear you, but I was reaching for something different to discuss. Not trying to stir up concern. Only curious if someone had a good explanation.

Some have been saying that since we are loaded at OB for the next three years, he probably wouldn't be interested in getting caught up in the competition.

Sometimes we throw out offers just to see if the big fish will bite.
Side note: Anyone know how many official offers were given out this recruiting season.

I love Broadway but why would he come to LSU with JJ and RS? Im just saying that he might be better off going some where else JMO.

You are assuming RS does not play a Percy Harvin role and become established in that role, with an NFL future as a slot receiver/3rd down back.
If so, Broadway would be a true frosh for JJ's junior year with a chance to start as a RS frosh if JJ is good enough to go pro after his junior season.

I guess we are both assuming when talking about RS. I can see RS playing QB or a Harvin role at LSU. If RS is playing a QB role then it makes it tough for TB to come dont you think? If the situation with RS position is not settled then he may want go some where with a clear path to the QB position. BTW who is the back up QB next year?

Terrance Broadway could not start at QB for LSU. He is not that good.

how bout we offer Reed first... a player we actually need. I suspect an offer at Junior Day face-to-face
