BamaTiger, it may seem that way to you but our comments regarding LSu have been regarding the jealousy spewed at us concerning our hiring of Saban.
I certainly understand your feelings but there have been too many personal attacks on the people here in AL when we never hired Saban to stick it to LSu but to resume playing decent football. LSU's feelings were never a topic of discussion, winning was.
As far as our biggest rivalry, sorry but LSu is a notch above Ole Miss. Auburn, never, ever will be replaced. We have to live with these folks and vice versa. Families are split down the middle, marriages, co-workers, everything is mixed. We dislike the way LSU fans act toward those of us who have done nothing to you.
We hate Auburn because they are here. They are in state. They are our uncles and aunts and we have to see them at holidays and pretend we dont care to beat their arse. You , at best will be third on our list and it is a distant third. Also, LA is just too far away to have much inter-mingling. Sorry, you guys need to get A&M back on your schedule. that was a pretty good thing there. There never was a problem with us until we hired Saban and as I said, I never expected it to be but whatever you feel, you feel. I know, I just dont feel like saying. Hurt is a terrible thing, one day he'll leave Bama and your life can resume.

Sorry Bayside. We'll have to agree to disagree. I've lived in Alabama for the last 12 years...before Saban coached at LSU or Bama. I've lived on the coast and in B-ham and in my experience, the Bama hatred for LSU/Auburn runs deep. You can try to justify yourselves (we're just responding to LSU fans' reactions to Saban.) Please....that excuse is old. I actually can't stand Auburn's at a team more than Bama, but Bama fans are farrrr worse in my book. And they have been for as long as I can remember.

My dislike for Bama goes beyond Saban. That just added fuel to the fire, but I have always been anti-Tide since I was a kid and saw them come into Baton Rouge and walk away with a win every other year. It was too much to take.
As far as rivalries go, Yes LSU does need a permanent #1 rival. It was Tulane in the old days when they were in the SEC, but now, you're right. Even if the A&M rivalry started again, its not like we would replace the Horns as their #1 rival.
We just need to flare up some antimosity toward the Hogs!!

Is there any doubt as to why LSU hates Bama so much? I could go on and on with more quotes but there is no need. Once again, Gumps, we do not hate you because you hired Saban. We think you are douchebags because of what Saban said about LSU and because of how you are. You, and the vast majority of your Bama brethren, are bigger tools than Saban could ever hope to be. When he leaves, you will still be the way you are.
