Have I missed any reports regarding his status for the bowl game? From what I have seen he won’t be playing.
He was Injured on October 26th and hasn’t played since even after getting Tightrope surgery. Couldn’t play 5 weeks after the injury against OU. And still can’t play 9 weeks later.
Seems like something was missed or after Alabama and/or Florida loss he just started working towards the draft.

Coach Kelley said he is physically ready to go. I think it’s matter of does he want to go play or or get ready for the draft

I think it's as simple as he wasn't physically ready for the games we lost and then we were eliminated from playoff contention when he was physically ready so it didn't make sense for him to risk reinjury. Not everything is about LSU. I think it's been handled correctly. I think him not playing in the bowl game is correct. He had a great career and did a lot for LSU. I think he's right in prioritizing his health before the NFL draft presently. It would be different if he was completely healthy and choosing to quit before the end of the season.
