re: States witness says Trump upset/worried family would see Stormy story. Judge strikes it

On its face it's a good objection and ruling. That witness cannot tell you what was in Trump's mind without laying the proper foundation.

"He was upset."

Question: How do you know he was upset.
Answer: He told me.
Question: Did he tell you why he was upset?
Answer: Yes.
Quesiton: What did he tell you?
Answer: He told me that he was concerned that his family would see the story.

That's the foundation that was missing. Otherwise, it is just a witness speculating as to what was in Trump's mind.
