Seriously, you don't think the republicans who voted for these politicians 2 years ago wanted a secure border?????
I'm suggesting that people vote for a variety of issues. The Right certainly isn't a single issue voting bloc. You'll get some things that you like and you'll be disappointed at times too. That's just life and politics.
When we talk about the "American People" it's too vast to pigeonhole. Local needs, represented in the House, are going to vary widely. The job someone from New Jersey needs to do as opposed to someone from Alaska is going to differ. Alabama and California... so and so forth. I know this board hates with a passion (as do I) coastal elites dictating to "flyover country", a term that I loathe. This is that same mindset. We have posters here speaking for all constituents across the country when there is no way to know what actually matters to those constituents. Good luck finding polling based on House Districts. Again, this is bigger than the border. I can't tell you how many times I've seen posts saying that such and such Rep is selling out their constituents. Well, maybe, but that is up to the locals to determine when primary season rolls around. Not someone 1,900 miles away. If the locals are okay with it, and they usually are, the Rep will be reelected. At that point the talking point that the locals are being sold out is gone.
