Well...
Uncle Flavious was a Gunners Mate 3rd Class abord the USS Nevada (forward turret 14" main guns) and lost his life at Pearl Harbor on that fateful day. I'm sure all the family would have preferred him not to have been a part of that, but it is what it is. He had just turned 20 in October of that year. Name for the record was Flavious B. Martin Johnson.
Apart from that, the closest we ever got to something historical as a family was being in the fourth car to cross the New River Gorge bridge in West Virginia when it opened for traffic. That was pretty cool for sure.
Nothing particularly outstanding here though.
