It is absolutely asinine and yet, there's no shortage of videos of cops using EXACTLY this argument.

They press and ask about searching 8 different ways. THEN, they start saying things like, "you seem nervous" and "well, normally people who aren't guilty consent"..........and eventually, they use YOUR reaction to their repeated attempts as justification to go ahead and search.
