Im ok with failure what Im not ok is with idiots in the front office who think we’re ok and will spin this season as success. This season was a failure and if major changes are not made- we deserve to be the laughing stock of the NBA.
I’m usually pretty optimistic at the end of the day, but last night should absolutely put a scare into the Pelicans front office.
And I’m not talking about the loss, the Zion injury, the uncertainly over which direction to go, etc.
We played a 6:30 game against Lebron and the lakers to go to the playoffs, and the lower bowl was nowhere near capacity during the first half. The upper bowl was empty.
The team is not on tv locally, you aren’t broadening the fan base, and the city is checking out on the product. There was less juice in the stadium last night than the 2022 pelicans/spurs play-in, and if you back out the laker fans the Arena would have been embarrassing empty and quiet (as it will be Friday night).

Doubtful. They'll cash their luxury tax payout and use the season ending to justify having done nothing at the trade deadline again. Then, they'll repeat their commitment to paying the luxury tax in the future "for a contender".
