So, at LSU, i think most all of us agree that the possibility of being a victim is greater than other places.
is there a lot of crime on campus? I think it’s mostly in the rest of Baton Rouge. So, I am not sure if I can agree.

that is terrible, but it has been shitty over there since my brother lived in Kirby-Smith in the early 2000s, and way before then.

I think you are making my point. The area around LSU has been terrible for decades. It was bad north of campus in the 90's, and still is. Tigerland, Burbank, Brightside were all OK back then, but not so much now. The actual campus is probably fine, safety wise, but after freshman year most don't live on campus. And, certainly, most students spend a good bit of time at Fred's, etc. Not saying someone can't go to LSU and have a perfectly safe experience, it's just a choice he made to be someplace else that is, by every factor, safer, cleaner, and just better... Kids are going to make dumb decisions that put themselves in potential danger. When he was making his decision where to go to college, part of the calculus was, if he makes bad decisions, where has the lower likelihood of those bad decisions resulting in something REALLY bad happening.
