Nah, I'd say the opposite from what I've seen. There was a guy from another station filling in on shift with us. The same nurse sent a snap to him and a guy on shift at my station thinking they were in different places. They were sitting right next to each other and both their phones went off at the same time. Those camera phones just sped up the "we're gonna hook up later" process. I can't tell you how many hours have been spent comparing pics girls would send.

New EMTs/Medics/Nurses are just fresh meat to see who could get to them first.
