i also want to say, for the record, that i love Generation Kill. the banter among the troops, the gallows humor, etc - it's all 100% on point for how Marines act. i'm not trying to bash the show here at all. i just want to give a little bit of perspective on ridiculous scenes like this:

one more piece of perspective - Generation Kill pulled largely from two sources: Evan Wright's book / input, and Nate Fick's book (One Bullet Away) / input. it's not a coincidence that the best looking, most well liked, and virtually only competent company grade officer in the show is...Nate Fick
