Has anyone done this? Have a friend looking into going, there are even dental based travel agencies that set up trips to countries with Western trained dentists that do procedures for a fraction of the cost. And most insurance companies don’t pay much for dental and are quick to try to call procedures cosmetic so they don’t have to pay anything.

I had great dental care growing up thanks to my parents, and didn’t have my first (and only) cavity until I was in my 50’s, between two teeth (not diligent about flossing). I do have two implants and crowns on my back two molars because I can’t stop chewing ice and eating cracklings and cracked the two of them. It was not cheap, I have what’s considered very good insurance, it paid less than half.
